This is a commerical laundromat with an adjacent coffee shop. It is being designed for large commerical laundry accounts as well as providing a hub of social gathering in an area of town that is lacking such spaces.

2009_ ​I drew these preliminary floor plans for a couple that were interested in doing much of the construction themselves using a combination of straw bails and adobe bricks. My goal was to maximize solar gain, but also design a cool shaded screened porch for the hot afternoons. The Rio Grande River is just south of the patio, therefore it was important to have views of the and access to the river.
